The product “bio garage with 3 cars” is made of BIO plastic that is manufactured from the residuals of the sugarcane production and moreover, dantoys Bio line are approved by the Nordic Swan Ecolabel as one of the few in the world. The product is recyclable and by using the left-over material from the sugarcane production, it is possible to minimize waste and optimize the way, the company reuses the worlds provisions.
The tiny amount of sugar that is left in the core of the sugarcane is getting extracted and become ethanol and then made from ethanol to plastic granules. That makes it possible to produce plastic toys for kids instead of deposing it.
The BIO series is just one example on Dantoy’s way to manufacture plastic toys from environmentally friendly solutions. The life cycle assessment of the BIO plastic indicated that Braskem's BIO PE captures 3,09 kilograms of CO2 from the air, verified by the British consulting firms E4tech.
Bonsucro certification
Bonsucro is the global sustainability platform for sugarcane. The Chain of Custody Standard enables brands to trace sugarcane from the origin to the final product. It allows brands to make sustainability claims about their sugarcane sourcing.
Play for change
The BIO toy has been awarded with silver, at TIE Europe sustainability in 2020. Dantoy’s line of BIO toys is suited for play indoors as well as outdoors in all kinds of weather – including rain, snow and sunny trips to the beach. The BIO toy is approved for food contact, can be washed in the dishwasher, do not contain any harmful substances, and can be recycled and used again.
