Sahva i samarbejde med Prototal Damvig

Bandagisten Sahva har indgået et samarbejde med Prototal Damvig om en skalérbar 3D printproduktion af kundetilpassede proteser.
Sahva har i årtier udviklet og produceret nylon- og glasfiberproteser, som hjælper med at genskabe førligheden hos patienter, der f.eks. har mistet et ben. Nu har et samarbejde med Prototal Damvig gjort det muligt at effektivisere fremstillingen af proteser ved hjælp af 3D-print.
Ved fremstillingen af kundetilpassede proteser er der høje krav til tolerancer for at sikre den højeste komfort for patienterne. Samtidig spiller produktionstiden også en stor rolle ift. at få genskabt førligheden hos patienterne og give dem en højere livskvalitet. Alt dette er gjort muligt ved hjælp af 3D-print.
Traditionelt set bliver en protese fremstillet ved en opmåling, gipsafstøbning, og herefter fremstillet af karbonprotesehylstre eller støbte hylstre. I dag har Sahva mulighed for at scanne patienterne, modellere proteserne i et CAD-program og sende den kundetilpassede protese til print hos Prototal Damvig.
