AQUNE ApS has developed a smart panel that is built according to circular principles with compressed polyurethane posts and recycle parts of wind turbine blades. To accommodate the need to increase recycled materials in the building industry, elements from used blades from wind turbines is incorporated into the construction of single family houses and townhouses. The full construction can be recycled.
AQUNE ApS is incorporating parts from used blades from wind turbines into the construction of single family houses and townhouses, blades that otherwise can be very difficult to reuse.
They have developed a concept where the construction is not only industrialized, but also sustainable. The innovative sandwich construction very accurate in terms of size and design. In addition, insulation capacity and durability, as well as the acoustic properties, are significantly improved compared til traditional PUR panels.
AQUNE Aps building elements is a non-organic construction, it is made for disassembly and can be crushed and re-used. As it is a close cell insulation, and as we add no organic material, it is perfect for outdoor applications, and will absorb no moist, hence no mould will be able to develop in the construction.
The construction is so light, that it can be advantageously installed on ground screws, which reduces the CO2 footprint in new builds, and also leaves open the option of small mobile houses.
The panel has superior strength due to the structural support from PUR for the load bearing posts.
